Prototype Instructional Booster

In the fashion industry a prototype is typically known as a ‘toile’; this enables a design to be tested using inexpensive materials/fabrics, such as calico, before commiting the design to more expensive fabrics.
The following are instructions for a calico prototype of the demin pencil case challenge.
Cut 2 pieces of calico using the pattern; fig 1.

Sew together using a 1cm seam allowance; fig 2.

Turn to the right side and test whether the case is big enough for your pens, pencils, etc; fig 3
